OEM CNC Machined Plastic Parts from China per Drawing

OEM CNC Machined Plastic Parts from China per Drawing

We are a China-based custom CNC machining workshop focused on precision machined plastic parts and engineering plastic components. Every part is manufactured exactly per customer drawing, CAD model or supplied sample — from a single CNC milled plastic prototype to repeat high-volume production orders delivered on a stable schedule.

By machining plastics directly from extruded rod, plate, sheet and block stock, we deliver CNC machined plastic parts that are free from mould tooling cost and lead time, with dense, isotropic material properties and tight, repeatable dimensional control. Send a STEP, IGES, DWG, DXF or PDF drawing — or a physical sample — and we machine the finished plastic component to your specification.

Precision CNC Machined Plastic Parts, Built Exactly to Your Drawing

As a custom plastic machining manufacturer in China, we produce OEM CNC machined plastic parts for machine builders, equipment makers and maintenance teams worldwide. Unlike injection moulding, CNC plastic machining needs no mould investment: the geometry is cut directly from engineering plastic stock, so custom plastic parts can be delivered in days rather than weeks, and design revisions cost almost nothing. This makes CNC machining the natural choice for custom plastic components, one-off machine spares, low-volume assemblies and products whose annual volume does not justify tooling.

Our service covers both CNC milled plastic parts and CNC turned plastic parts. 3-axis, 4-axis and 5-axis CNC milling handles plates, blocks, housings, manifolds, guides, jigs and complex contoured components, while CNC turning produces shafts, sleeves, bushings, rollers, rings, pistons, valve seats and every rotationally symmetric plastic part. Secondary operations — drilling, tapping, threading, engraving, edge chamfering, deburring and polishing — are completed in-house so each custom machined plastic part arrives ready to assemble.

We work equally from drawings and from samples. If you have a worn or broken plastic component with no drawing available, send the physical sample: we measure the geometry, identify a suitable engineering plastic, reconstruct the dimensions and machine a fully interchangeable CNC machined replacement plastic part. For new designs, STEP, IGES, X_T, DWG, DXF and PDF files are all accepted, and our engineers review every enquiry for machinability, tool access, sharp internal corners, thin walls and the most economical stock size before production starts.

Customers searching for CNC machined plastic parts from China choose us because engineering plastics are our core focus rather than a side business: cutters, feeds, speeds, fixturing, coolants and inspection methods are all tuned to how plastics actually machine — avoiding melted edges, burrs, stress whitening, dimensional drift after machining and the tolerance problems that shops experienced mainly with metals frequently run into when cutting nylon, POM, UHMWPE or PEEK.

Precision

Surface Quality and Dimensional Accuracy on Machined Plastics

Plastics expand, deflect and relax differently from metals, so achievable accuracy is planned around the chosen material, part size, wall thickness and feature geometry. The figures below represent typical, repeatable results on well-supported CNC machined plastic parts.

±0.01 mm
On critical, well-supported features in stable grades such as POM, PEEK and PET
Ra 0.8
Fine-finish surfaces achievable by finish milling, turning or polishing of plastics
IT6–IT8
Tolerance grades held on precision bores, shafts and mating fits per drawing
1 pc → 10k+
Single prototypes through to repeated batch and mass-production quantities

Dimensional and Geometric Control

General machined features are routinely held within ±0.02–±0.05 mm, while critical bores, pin fits and locating faces in dimensionally stable grades can reach ±0.01 mm. We control flatness, parallelism, squareness and circularity with proper fixturing and light, repeatable clamping that does not distort thin plastic sections. H7/g6-style clearance and transition fits, press-fit bores and interchangeable mating parts are produced consistently across batches, with first-piece and in-process checks keeping every later part aligned to the approved first article.

Surface Roughness and Cosmetic Finish

Standard CNC milled plastic surfaces land around Ra 3.2; finish milling and sharp finishing passes bring flat and contoured faces to Ra 1.6, and fine turning or polishing reaches Ra 0.8–0.4 on seals, shafts and cosmetic faces. Transparent PC and acrylic can be polished optically clear; turned nylon, POM and PTFE parts leave a smooth, uniform, burr-free surface; edges are broken or chamfered, tool marks are minimised by climb finishing, and parts are cleaned of chips and coolant marks before packaging.

Managing Plastic-Specific Behaviour

Thermal expansion, moisture uptake in nylon, internal stress release in extruded stock and spring-back of flexible TPU/PU are all accounted for before cutting: stock is allowed to acclimatise, deep pockets are roughed and finished in staged passes, thin walls are finish-cut last, and flexible materials are vacuum or soft-jaw held. This prevents the warped plates, tight-then-loose bores and melted edges commonly seen when metal-working shops machine plastics.

Drawing Tolerances and Inspection Records

Customer drawing tolerances always take priority; where a drawing leaves general dimensions untoleranced, a medium or fine general tolerance grade is agreed in advance. Critical-to-quality features identified on the drawing are measured and recorded, and first-article dimensional reports, material batch references and sample approval can accompany production orders so repeat orders are manufactured to the same verified dimensions.

On the Shop Floor

Machining and Inspection Capabilities

Every CNC machined plastic part passes through controlled machining and independent dimensional verification before it is cleaned and packed, so the parts arriving at your line match the approved drawing.

CNC milling service for plastic parts

CNC Milling Service

3-axis and multi-axis milling centres cut plastic plates, blocks and complex 3D geometries — pockets, contours, bolt patterns, counterbores and engraved markings — with sharp tooling and high-spindle finishing passes engineered for clean, burr-free plastic surfaces.

CNC turning service China

CNC Turning Service

CNC lathes turn rotationally symmetric plastic parts — bushings, sleeves, rollers, rings, valve seats and threaded components — holding concentricity and fine surface finishes on short runs and repeated batch orders alike.

2D profile projector measuring plastic part

2D Profile Projector Measuring

An optical profile projector checks small profiles, radii, chamfers, thread forms and thin contours without touching or deforming flexible plastic parts, comparing the magnified silhouette directly against the drawing outline.

CMM coordinate measuring testing

CMM Coordinate Inspection

A coordinate measuring machine verifies hole positions, true position, flatness, parallelism and critical dimensions in 3D space, confirming that each CNC machined plastic component sits inside the drawing tolerance envelope.

Quantities

From a Single Prototype to High-Volume Production

CNC machining scales smoothly with demand: the same drawing can be produced as a one-off development part, a pilot batch for line trials, or a scheduled repeat production order with no mould investment at any stage.

One-Off & Prototype (1–5 pcs)

Single CNC machined plastic prototypes, fit-check samples, machine repair spares and design-validation parts, often shipped within days of drawing approval.

Small Batch (6–200 pcs)

Pre-production runs, spares kits, custom machine builds and low-volume products where design details may still evolve between orders.

Medium Batch (200–2,000 pcs)

Repeat batches with fixturing and tooling optimised after the first run, balancing unit cost with the flexibility of no tooling commitment.

Large / Mass Production (2,000–10,000+ pcs)

Scheduled volume orders across multiple machines and shifts, with first-article approval, in-process inspection and stable lead-time planning.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What information is needed to quote a CNC machined plastic part?

A 2D drawing with tolerances plus a 3D model (STEP, IGES or X_T) is ideal; DWG, DXF and PDF drawings are also accepted. Please indicate material grade, colour and quantity. If a drawing is not available, photographs and a physical sample are enough to begin.

Can you machine from a physical sample without any drawing?

Yes. We measure the sample with callipers, micrometres, profile projector and CMM, reconstruct the geometry and select an equivalent or upgraded engineering plastic, then machine interchangeable CNC replacement parts for confirmation.

What is the minimum order quantity?

There is no mould and therefore no MOQ. One-off prototypes, single machine spares and small development batches are accepted, and the same drawing can later move into medium or mass production without re-tooling.

How tight can tolerances be on machined plastic parts?

Typical general tolerances run at ±0.02–±0.05 mm; stable grades such as POM, PEEK and PET can hold ±0.01 mm on well-supported critical features. Achievable accuracy always depends on material, size and geometry and is confirmed against the drawing before production.

Which engineering plastics are available from stock?

POM/acetal, PA6/PA66 and MC nylon, UHMWPE, HDPE, PP, PVC, PC, PMMA, ABS, PEEK, PEI, PPS, PVDF, PTFE, PET, PSU, TPU/PU and epoxy-glass laminates are standard stock, in multiple colours and a wide range of rod and plate sizes.

Can a specific plastic colour be matched?

Yes. Coloured stock can be ordered against a sample or colour reference, and many grades already carry standard black, white, blue, red, yellow or green stock. Engineering requirements — wear, heat or chemical resistance — are always selected before colour.

Summary

A China Workshop Dedicated to Machined Plastic Components

Custom parts, machined — never moulded to a catalogue

Whether the requirement is a single CNC milled POM gear, a batch of CNC turned nylon bushings, precision UHMWPE wear strips, transparent PC manifolds, elastic TPU seal rings or high-temperature PEEK valve seats, every component is cut to the customer's own drawing or sample. We combine CNC milling, CNC turning, drilling, threading, engraving and finishing under one roof, supported by optical profile projection and CMM inspection, so complex plastic assemblies can be sourced from a single China supplier.
