Custom CNC machining PP parts in China, built to your drawings

Polypropylene (PP) is one of the most widely engineered thermoplastics for industrial components. Its low density, excellent chemical resistance, good fatigue life and food-contact compatibility make it the material of choice for screws, conveying stars, bottle turners, rollers, gears and custom housings used in food machinery, bottling lines and process equipment.

As a China-based custom CNC machining manufacturer, we produce PP parts from solid PP rod, sheet or block using 3-axis and 5-axis CNC milling, CNC turning and secondary finishing. Every component is machined to the dimensions, tolerances and surface finish defined in your drawing, with batch sizes ranging from single prototypes to mid-volume production runs.

Whether you need a replacement wear part for an existing line or a fully custom component for a new machine, our custom CNC machining PP parts in China are manufactured to deliver the dimensional stability and surface quality your application requires.

Why PP is ideal for custom CNC machined parts

Polypropylene combines mechanical performance with processability, making it well suited for precision CNC machining across a wide range of industrial applications.

01

Low density, high strength-to-weight

With a density around 0.90–0.91 g/cm³, PP is lighter than most engineering plastics while still offering sufficient rigidity for structural and conveying components.

02

Excellent chemical resistance

PP resists acids, alkalis, aqueous solutions and many organic chemicals, making it suitable for wash-down environments and chemical handling equipment.

03

Good fatigue and impact performance

PP copolymer grades retain toughness at low temperatures and withstand repeated flexing, ideal for living hinges, clips and dynamic conveying parts.

04

Food-contact compatible grades

Selected PP grades are suitable for food and beverage processing equipment where cleanability and non-contamination are required.

05

Low moisture absorption

PP absorbs almost no water, so dimensions remain stable in humid or wet operating conditions without swelling or warping.

06

Machinable to tight tolerances

With proper fixturing, tooling and cooling, solid PP stock can be CNC machined to smooth surfaces and close dimensional tolerances for precision assemblies.

Frequently asked questions

Can you machine PP parts from my STEP or IGES file?

Yes. We accept STEP, IGES, DWG, DXF and 2D PDF files. A 3D model with a 2D drawing for tolerances gives the most accurate result.

What is the minimum order quantity?

We accept orders from a single prototype piece upward. Production batches can range from tens to several thousand pieces depending on part complexity.

Which PP grade should I choose?

Homopolymer PP for rigidity and chemical resistance, block copolymer for impact strength, random copolymer for transparency and food-contact use. We can advise based on your application.

Can you hold tight tolerances on PP?

Yes. Critical features can be held to ±0.02 mm with proper fixturing and temperature control. PP has a higher thermal expansion rate than metal, so we account for this in machining strategy.

Do you offer surface polishing for food-contact parts?

Yes. We can provide hand-polished or mechanically polished surfaces down to Ra 0.8 µm, with smooth, clean edges suitable for food and beverage equipment.

Can you machine glass-fibre filled PP?

Yes. We machine filled and modified PP grades including 20% and 30% glass-fibre reinforced PP, using carbide tooling suited to abrasive fillers.
