China Custom Machined Plastic Parts as Per Drawing

China Custom Machined Plastic Parts as Per Drawing

We are a China-based workshop dedicated to custom machined plastic parts. Every CNC machined plastic component is produced exactly as per customer drawing, CAD file or physical sample: custom CNC machined plastic parts to your drawings, cut from solid engineering-plastic stock instead of being moulded. With no mould to build, there is no tooling cost, no long tooling lead time and no rigid minimum order quantity, which makes our plastic machining service equally suited to a single prototype plastic part and to repeat batch orders.

Our custom plastic fabrication covers CNC turning, CNC milling and 5-axis machining across the full family of engineering plastics — PEEK machined parts, POM machined components, nylon machined parts, HDPE machined parts, UHMWPE parts, PTFE machined components, PVC / PP / PC / acrylic machined parts and CNC machined PU and TPU components. Send a PDF, STEP or DWG drawing, a hand sketch or a worn sample part: we review the design, confirm the material, machine the precision machined plastic parts and check every dimension before packing.

Characteristics of CNC machined plastic parts

CNC machined plastic components behave very differently from metal parts and from injection-moulded parts. Because each custom machined plastic part is cut from extruded, cast or compression-moulded rod or sheet, the material keeps its original, predictable properties, with no weld lines, no mould-flow orientation and no sink marks. The points below explain what to expect from a machined engineering-plastic part.

Light weight, useful strength

Most engineering plastics sit around 0.9–1.4 g/cm³, roughly one fifth to one seventh of steel. Moving CNC machined plastic components carry less inertia, need smaller drives and are easier to handle and install, while glass or carbon-filled grades add stiffness and creep resistance when the position demands it.

Self-lubrication and wear resistance

POM, nylon, UHMWPE and filled PTFE run smoothly against metal with little or no external grease. This makes them the standard choice for dry-running gears, bushings, slide rails and wear pads, reducing maintenance in packaging, textile, food and conveyor machinery.

Chemical and corrosion resistance

HDPE, PP, PTFE and PVC tolerate acids, alkalis, salts, moisture and many solvents without rusting, rotting or needing paint. Precision machined plastic parts made from these materials are widely used in wet, washed-down or chemically aggressive environments where metal parts corrode quickly.

Electrical and thermal insulation

Engineering plastics do not conduct electricity and conduct heat only slowly. CNC machined plastic insulators, standoffs, terminal plates and thermal barriers protect electronics, welding equipment and test fixtures, while low thermal transfer also avoids condensation and heat bridges.

Noise and vibration damping

Plastic gears, rollers, cams and PU damping elements absorb shock and run quieter than metal-to-metal pairs. Nylon and POM gears mesh smoothly, and CNC machined PU / TPU bumpers, rollers and seal rings absorb impact while keeping good abrasion resistance.

Common colors and machinability

Stock colors include natural / off-white, black, white, blue, green, red and yellow: PEEK is natural amber, POM is white or black, nylon is cream / black / blue, UHMWPE is white / green / black, PTFE is white, PP is natural / grey, PC and acrylic are clear or colored, and PU / TPU ranges from amber to red and black. With sharp tools, correct speeds and feeds and controlled clamping, all of them turn, mill, drill, tap and polish cleanly on standard CNC equipment.

Engineering plastics we machine every day

The same drawing can often be produced in several materials; we help match the plastic to load, temperature, friction, chemical exposure and budget. Below are the stock families that make up most of our custom plastic fabrication work.

PEEK machined parts

PEEK combines high continuous-use temperature, mechanical strength and chemical resistance. PEEK machined parts are used as metal replacements in demanding seats, bushings, insulators, seal rings and structural components, with glass or carbon-filled grades for higher stiffness.

POM machined components

POM (acetal / Delrin) offers dimensional stability, low friction and crisp machined detail. POM machined components include precision gears, rollers, sleeves, jigs and fixture parts where tight dimensions and a smooth surface matter.

Nylon machined parts

PA6, PA66, cast MC nylon and oil-filled nylon are tough and shock absorbing. Nylon machined parts cover gears, sheaves, bushings, wheels, wear pads and machinery spare parts, including custom machined PA66 components made to sample.

HDPE machined parts

HDPE is light, tough and chemically resistant, with food-industry stock grades available. HDPE machined parts include guides, scrapers, cutting plates, tank and float components, spacers and handling parts for wet production environments.

UHMWPE parts

UHMWPE stands out for extreme abrasion resistance and a very low friction surface. UHMWPE parts are machined into chain guides, wear strips, guide rails, star wheels, curved tracks and conveyor components that outlast steel in sliding contact.

PTFE machined components

PTFE (Teflon) resists nearly all chemicals, works across a wide temperature span and does not stick. PTFE machined components include gaskets, valve seats, back-up rings, slide bearings and electrical insulators, with filled grades for added wear life.

PVC, PP, PC & acrylic parts

Rigid PVC for chemical-equipment parts, PP for light tank and wear components, PC for transparent impact-resistant guards and acrylic for clear panels and lenses — all CNC machined from sheet, plate and rod without mould tooling.

CNC machined PU / TPU

Polyurethane and TPU elastomers are resilient and abrasion resistant. CNC machined PU parts include seal rings, dampers, bumpers, drive wheels, rollers and custom blocks across a range of Shore A hardness, in amber, red, black and other stock colors.

Plastic parts we CNC machine from customer drawings

The list below shows the part families most often produced as custom CNC machined plastic parts in our workshop. Each item can usually be made in several of the materials above, so a CNC machined plastic gear in POM can equally be quoted in nylon or PEEK when load or temperature changes.

Plastic gears and pinions

CNC machined plastic gears — spur, helical, bevel and pinion gears — in POM, nylon and PEEK. CNC machining plastic gears from solid blank keeps teeth quiet, self-lubricating and dimensionally accurate without a gear mould.

Bushings and sleeve bearings

Custom CNC machined plastic bushings, flanged bearings and sleeve bearings in nylon, PTFE, PEEK and UHMWPE for dry-running pivots, shafts and hinge points.

Rollers, wheels and pulleys

CNC machined plastic rollers, idler wheels, guide wheels, drive wheels and timing-belt pulleys in PU, nylon, UHMWPE, POM and HDPE, with bores, keyways and grooves to drawing.

Spacers, sleeves and washers

CNC machining plastic spacers, stepped sleeves, shims, thrust washers and flat washers to exact thickness and inner / outer diameter, from one-off sets to large batches.

Seal rings and gaskets

Custom CNC machined plastic seal rings, back-up rings, V-rings, packing rings and flat gaskets in PTFE, PEEK, PU and TPU for pumps, valves and cylinders.

Wear strips and guide rails

CNC machined UHMWPE and HDPE wear strips, linear guide rails, chain guides, curved tracks and sliding liners for conveyor and automation lines.

Blocks, brackets and plates

Custom CNC machined plastic mounting blocks, brackets, adapter plates, fixture plates and base plates milled from PP, PVC, POM, nylon and PEEK sheet or plate.

Flanges, adapters and couplings

CNC machining plastic flanges, hose adapters, reducing adapters, shaft couplings and transition pieces with turned diameters and milled flats.

Nuts, screws and threaded parts

CNC machined plastic threaded nuts, studs, screws, threaded rods and tapped holes in metric or imperial pitch, carefully cut to avoid stripping in softer plastics.

Insulators and standoffs

Custom CNC machined plastic electrical insulators, standoffs, spacers and terminal plates in PC, PVC, PEEK and industrial laminate stock for equipment builders.

Cams, levers and operating parts

CNC machined plastic cams, levers, knobs, hand wheels, handles and indexing elements in nylon, POM and HDPE for machinery that needs light, quiet operation.

Manifolds, housings and enclosures

CNC machining plastic valve blocks, fluid manifolds, housings, enclosure panels and covers from PP, PVC, PC, acrylic and PEEK, with milled pockets and drilled ports.

Plastic machining processes and services

Our plastic machining service combines the processes below on the same shop floor, so a part that needs turning, milling and cross-drilling can be completed without moving between suppliers.

CNC turning

CNC turning of plastic rod into shafts, sleeves, rings, rollers, pistons and threaded parts, with concentric diameters, grooves, O-ring seats and internal / external threads. Live-tool turning adds cross holes, flats and milled slots in one clamping.

CNC milling

CNC milling of plastic sheet, plate and block into pockets, contours, slots, gear blanks, hole patterns and three-dimensional shapes on vertical machining centers, with soft-jaw fixturing to protect delicate plastic surfaces.

5-axis machining

5-axis machining handles complex custom machined plastic parts — angled holes, multi-sided features, impeller-like forms and contoured surfaces — in fewer set-ups, reducing re-clamping error on PEEK, POM and acrylic components.

Precision machining

Precision machining uses sharp polished tooling, controlled feeds and air / mist cooling to keep heat-sensitive plastics from deforming, delivering tight bores, flat mating faces and repeatable dimensions batch after batch.

Prototype plastic parts

Prototype plastic parts in days rather than weeks, with no mould investment. One-off and small-set prototypes support fit checks, assembly trials, functional tests and quick design iteration before series production.

Low volume plastic machining

Low volume plastic machining from a handful of pieces to a few hundred, together with scheduled repeat batches. Fixed programs and dedicated fixturing keep recurring CNC machined plastic components consistent and competitively priced.

In-house machining and dimensional inspection

Every order follows the same route: drawing review, material confirmation, CNC programming, rough and finish machining, deburring, dimensional inspection and careful packing. Critical dimensions on the drawing are checked with calibrated measuring equipment before parts leave the workshop.

CMM dimensional testing

A coordinate measuring machine verifies hole positions, true position, flatness and other geometric controls against the customer drawing.

Surface quality and dimensional accuracy

The achievable finish and tolerance of precision machined plastic parts depend on the material, part geometry, wall thickness and whether the stock is filled or unfilled. The values below describe what our plastic machining service routinely holds; critical dimensions are always confirmed against the customer drawing.

General dimensional tolerances

For non-critical dimensions we work to general tolerances comparable to the ISO 2768 medium / fine reference levels. Dimensions marked with explicit tolerances on the drawing always take priority and are programmed and inspected accordingly.

Tight precision tolerances

On stable materials such as PEEK, POM and filled nylon, bores, shafts and positional dimensions can be held around ±0.01 mm on suitable geometries. Soft or flexible materials such as PTFE and PU naturally carry wider tolerances, agreed before production starts.

As-machined surface

A standard CNC machined surface normally reaches roughly Ra 1.6–3.2 µm, with uniform, clean cutter marks, controlled edges and no burrs. This finish suits most machinery, fixture and structural plastic components as delivered.

Polished and clear finishes

Finish passes and polishing bring PEEK, POM, PC and acrylic surfaces to around Ra 0.4–0.8 µm. Clear PC and acrylic parts can be buff or flame polished on cut edges to restore transparency for guards, windows and lenses.

Flatness and geometric control

Light finish passes, stress-relieved stock and proper fixturing hold flat mating faces, parallel surfaces, perpendicular shoulders and controlled roundness — important for sealing faces, slide rails and stacked assemblies.

Bores, holes and threads

Reamed bores deliver precise clearance or transition shaft fits; holes are drilled, bored or reamed for press, slip or clearance fits, and metric or imperial threads are carefully tapped or single-point turned. Hole patterns are verified by projector or CMM.

From one single piece to large batch production

Because CNC machining needs no mould, the same process serves a broken spare part reproduced from a sample and a recurring series order. Quantity changes the price per piece, never the way drawings and tolerances are handled.

Single piece / one-off

A single custom machined plastic part made from drawing or sample — ideal for broken machine spares, obsolete components and design confirmations where no mould exists.

Prototypes and first articles

A small set of prototype plastic parts for assembly and functional trials, with first-article measured dimensions supplied so the design can be frozen confidently.

Low volume batches

Low volume plastic machining of tens to hundreds of pieces for machinery builders, maintenance stocks and products whose annual demand does not justify moulding.

Series and large batches

Repeat and large-batch CNC machined plastic components with fixed programs, dedicated fixturing and planned stock preparation for stable pricing, lead time and consistency.

Custom CNC machined plastic parts to your drawings: send a PDF, STEP or DWG file, or a worn physical sample, and the drawing is reviewed for material choice, machinability, tolerance feasibility and quantity before production. Custom plastic components CNC machined from solid rod and sheet need no mould investment, so design changes stay inexpensive even late in a project.

Whether a position calls for PEEK machined parts near a heat source, UHMWPE parts on an abrasive conveyor line, POM machined components in a quiet gear train, CNC machined PU for a sealing or damping function, or plastic parts machining per customer drawing for a one-off repair, the same plastic machining service applies end to end.

Precision plastic machining for industrial applications is what the workshop does day after day: CNC turning and CNC milling of PEEK, POM, nylon, HDPE, UHMWPE, PTFE, PVC, PP, PC, acrylic, PU and TPU, supported by 5-axis machining for complex shapes and by projector and CMM inspection for dimensional confidence.

From prototype plastic parts and low volume plastic machining to repeated batch production, every order is treated as custom plastic fabrication: the right stock, the right cutting strategy, careful deburring, measured dimensions and parts that fit the assembly the first time they are installed.
