High-precision CNC milling & turning for 17-4PH stainless steel parts. Fast prototyping to batch production with ±0.005mm tolerance. Get a quote today!
In high-end mechanical manufacturing and precision engineering, 17-4PH (Precipitation Hardening Stainless Steel) stands out as an all-around material choice due to its high strength, superior hardness, excellent corrosion resistance, and low distortion during heat treatment. As a specialized manufacturer focused on non-standard custom CNC machining, we deliver end-to-end manufacturing solutions—from single-piece prototyping to full-scale OEM batch production.
We process 17-4PH components according to international engineering drawings and material specifications:
| Standard System | Standard / Grade Name | Common Designation |
| USA (ASTM / UNS) | ASTM A564 Grade 630 / UNS S17400 | 17-4PH / AISI 630 |
| USA Aerospace (AMS) | AMS 5643 / AMS 5604 | AMS 17-4PH |
| European (EN / DIN) | 1.4542 / X5CrNiCuNb16-4 | W.Nr. 1.4542 |
| Japanese (JIS) | SUS630 | SUS 630 |
| Chinese (GB/T) | 06Cr17Ni4Cu4Nb / 0Cr17Ni4Cu4Nb | 630 Stainless Steel |
Tunable Mechanical Strength: Mechanical properties are customizable via age hardening (Condition A, H900, H1025, H1150, H1150D). Tensile strength ranges from 930 MPa up to 1310 MPa (190 ksi), with hardness reaching 28–45 HRC.
304-Level Corrosion Resistance: Alloying with 17% chromium and 4% copper grants reliable resistance against atmospheric corrosion, dilute acids, salts, and pitting.
Minimal Thermal Distortion: Low-temperature aging (480°C to 620°C) minimizes phase-change expansion, making it ideal for tight-tolerance, complex components.
Excellent Machinability: Machinable in Solution Treated state (Condition A) prior to age hardening for reduced tool wear and high surface finish quality.
5-Axis & 4-Axis CNC Milling: Precision milling for complex geometries, deep cavities, and structural brackets with tolerances down to ±0.005 mm (±0.0002 in).
Swiss Machining & CNC Turning: High-efficiency turning for slender shafts, valve spools, threaded fittings, and pinions in a single setup.
In-House Heat Treatment & Precipitation Hardening:
Condition A: Solution annealed for initial heavy machining.
H900: Maximum strength and hardness (40–44 HRC) for high-wear parts.
H1150 / H1150D: High toughness and ductility (28–35 HRC) for impact-resistant or low-temperature applications.
Wire EDM & Sinker EDM: Precision machining of hardened 17-4PH for splines, keyways, micro-slots, and sharp internal corners.
Grinding & Surface Finishing: O.D./I.D. grinding, surface grinding (Ra 0.2 μm), passivation, bead blasting, electropolishing, and PVD/DLC coatings.
