7075 is an Al-Zn-Mg-Cu series high strength aluminum alloy and a standard aerospace grade aluminum. In the 7075-T6 temper it typically reaches an ultimate tensile strength around 503–572 MPa and a yield strength around 435 MPa, at a density of roughly 2.81 g/cm³ — giving CNC machined 7075 aluminum parts a strength-to-weight ratio close to mild steel while remaining roughly one third of its weight.
