OEM CNC Machined Titanium Alloy Parts per Drawings in China

OEM CNC machined titanium alloy parts per specific drawings in China

We are a China-based precision machining workshop focused on titanium CNC machining in China for customers worldwide. We manufacture CNC machined titanium parts strictly per customer-specific drawings, 3D models, or supplied samples — from a single piece of titanium part prototype machining to repeat batches and high-volume production. Whether a project calls for CNC machining titanium grade 5 per drawing, CNC machined grade 2 titanium hardware, or CNC machined TC4 load-bearing components, every part is produced to the dimensions, tolerances, threads, and surface requirements defined on the print.

As an OEM machined titanium component supplier, we work from STEP, IGES, X_T, DWG, DXF and PDF files as well as physical samples. When only a used or reference part exists, sample-based reverse engineering rebuilds the geometry before production. Every batch of custom machined titanium hardware is delivered deburred, cleaned, and finished exactly as specified, ready for assembly.

Per drawing & per sample

Manufacture to customer prints or CAD models, duplicate supplied samples, and rebuild geometry by reverse engineering when no drawing is available.

Titanium-specific know-how

Tool paths, feeds, speeds, sharp tooling, high-pressure coolant and rigid fixturing are tuned for titanium's low thermal conductivity and high strength.

One piece to large volume

One-off titanium part prototype machining, first articles, small batches and recurring mass production all follow the same controlled process.

Broad grade coverage

Commercially pure grades 1–4, Ti-6Al-4V grade 5 / TC4, ELI grade 23, grade 9 3Al-2.5V, grade 7 palladium-bearing and common Chinese GB grades.

Titanium alloy grades we machine, across standard systems

Titanium is specified under several parallel standard systems — ASTM International and AMS in the US, GB/T in China, ISO internationally, JIS in Japan, and DIN in Germany. We read prints written in any of these systems and confirm the equivalent grade before the first cut. Below are the grades most often used for CNC machined titanium parts, together with their common cross-standard equivalents.

Grade 1 / TA1

Commercially pure, maximum ductility

The softest and most formable commercially pure grade, with excellent corrosion resistance and good weldability. Typical CNC machined grade 1 titanium work includes gaskets, anode baskets, sensor shells, deep-drawn bodies and chemical-industry hardware. Equivalent references: ASTM B348 Grade 1, GB/T TA1, JIS class 1, DIN 3.7025.

Grade 2 / TA2

The general-purpose workhorse

Balanced strength, ductility and weldability make grade 2 the most common choice for general CNC machined grade 2 titanium parts — flanges, fasteners, pipe fittings, marine hardware, heat exchanger components and pump bodies. Equivalent references: ASTM B348 Grade 2, GB/T TA2, JIS class 2, DIN 3.7035.

Grade 3 / TA3

Higher-strength pure titanium

Noticeably stronger than grade 2 but slightly less formable, grade 3 is selected for CNC machined grade 3 titanium valve internals, high-pressure fittings, support rings and structural hardware exposed to aggressive chemical environments. Equivalent references: ASTM B348 Grade 3, GB/T TA3, DIN 3.7055.

Grade 4

Strongest commercially pure grade

The highest-strength unalloyed titanium, with good fatigue resistance and outstanding corrosion performance. It is widely used for surgical instrument blanks, high-strength CP titanium fasteners and airframe details. Equivalent references: ASTM B348 Grade 4, DIN 3.7065.

Grade 5 / Ti-6Al-4V / TC4

The dominant alpha-beta alloy

Ti-6Al-4V accounts for the majority of titanium used worldwide and combines high specific strength with service to moderate temperatures. It is the default material for CNC machining titanium grade 5 per drawing and CNC machined TC4 load-bearing parts such as bolts, brackets, shafts and motorsport components. Equivalent references: ASTM B348 Grade 5, AMS 4928, GB/T TC4, DIN 3.7165.

Grade 23 / Ti-6Al-4V ELI / TC4 ELI

Extra-low-interstitial medical grade

An ELI version of grade 5 with tightly controlled oxygen, nitrogen and iron content for improved fracture toughness and biocompatibility. Used for custom CNC machined titanium surgical guides, implant prototypes, bone-fixation trial parts and precision medical instrument components. Equivalent references: ASTM F136, AMS 4931, GB/T TC4 ELI.

Grade 9 / Ti-3Al-2.5V / TA18

Tubing alloy, strong and formable

A near-alpha alloy stronger than the CP grades with excellent cold formability — the standard alloy for seamless and welded titanium tubing. Typical CNC machined grade 9 titanium parts include tube fittings, ferrules, bicycle frameset components, hydraulic line parts and aerospace ducting details. Equivalent references: ASTM B338 Grade 9, GB/T TA18, AMS 4945.

Grade 7 / Ti-0.2Pd / TA9

Palladium-bearing corrosion grade

Grade 2 chemistry with a small palladium addition delivers outstanding crevice-corrosion resistance in hot chlorides and reducing acids. It suits CNC machined grade 7 titanium pump shafts, valve stems, reactor hardware and chemical-processing components. Equivalent references: ASTM B348 Grade 7, GB/T TA9, DIN 3.7235.

Other titanium grades can be quoted on request, including grade 12 / TA10 (Ti-0.3Mo-0.8Ni), grade 6 / TA7 (Ti-5Al-2.5Sn), Ti-6Al-7Nb / TC20, TA15 (Ti-6.5Al-2Zr-1Mo-1V), TC11, TC21, TB6 (Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al) and TB5 (Ti-15V-3Cr-3Sn-3Al). Available stock forms include round bar, flat bar, plate, sheet, coil, seamless and welded tube, wire, forged block and custom forgings.

ASTM International (US)

ASTM B265 covers sheet and strip, B348 bar and billet, B381 forgings, B338 tubes, and F136 medical material. Grades are numbered Gr.1 through Gr.38 and appear on most internationally traded prints.

AMS aerospace series

Aerospace Material Specifications such as AMS 4928 (grade 5 bar), AMS 4911 (grade 5 sheet) and AMS 4931 (ELI) are frequently named on aviation and defense drawings.

GB/T standards (China)

The Chinese system uses TA for alpha and commercially pure alloys, TC for alpha-beta alloys and TB for beta alloys — for example TA1, TA2, TA7, TA9, TA10, TA18, TC4, TC4 ELI, TC11 and TB6.

ISO standards

ISO material designations appear on international prints; ISO 5832-2 covers unalloyed titanium and ISO 5832-3 covers Ti-6Al-4V for surgical implant applications, alongside general ISO titanium product standards.

JIS standards (Japan)

JIS H4600 for plate and JIS H4650 for tube define classes 1 through 4 for commercially pure titanium and TR/TP designations for corrosion-resistant tubular products.

DIN / material numbers (Germany)

DIN 17850 and 17860 series and Werkstoff numbers such as 3.7035 (grade 2) and 3.7165 (Ti-6Al-4V) are used on German and broader European engineering drawings.

Machining processes and inspection for titanium parts

Titanium CNC machining in China combines rigid machine tools, sharp dedicated tooling and aggressive coolant delivery with independent dimensional verification. The four core capabilities below cover most OEM machined titanium component requirements.

CNC milling service for titanium parts

CNC milling service

3-axis, 4-axis and 5-axis CNC milling centers convert titanium plate, block and forgings into pockets, contoured surfaces, brackets and housings. Rigid fixturing, climb-milling strategies and high-pressure coolant keep heat away from the cutting zone, which is essential when CNC machining titanium grade 5 per drawing with thin walls or deep pockets.

CNC turning service in China

CNC turning service in China

CNC lathes and sliding-head (Swiss-type) machines turn titanium bar and tube into fittings, shafts, sleeves and thin-wall tubular parts. Live tooling adds cross holes, flats, keyways and milled features in a single setup, so a custom CNC machined titanium fitting can go from bar stock to finished part without repeated handling.

2D profile projector measuring

2D profile projector measuring

A digital optical profile projector checks turned profiles, radii, chamfers, thread forms, angles and small-feature dimensions against the drawing. It is used for first-article inspection and in-process spot checks of CNC machined titanium parts such as tiny fasteners, ferrules and delicate ELI medical components.

CMM coordinate measuring machine testing

CMM testing

A coordinate measuring machine verifies three-dimensional position, true position, flatness, parallelism, perpendicularity and other critical tolerances on milled and multi-axis work. Measured results can be recorded for first articles and production lots of OEM machined titanium component orders, providing traceable evidence that parts match the print.

Surface treatments for CNC machined titanium parts

Titanium develops a stable natural oxide film, but functional or cosmetic requirements often call for a defined secondary finish. The finishes below are applied after machining, per the callouts on the drawing or purchase specification.

Titanium anodizing

Type II anodizing grows a transparent interference oxide that shows gold, blue, purple, bronze or magenta depending on film thickness — widely used for color coding and appearance. Type III hard anodizing builds a thicker, more wear-resistant layer for moving custom machined titanium hardware.

Passivation

Nitric-acid or citric-acid passivation removes embedded free iron and surface contamination picked up during machining, restoring the natural corrosion-resistant oxide layer of CNC machined grade 2 titanium and grade 5 / TC4 parts.

Electropolishing

An electrochemical process that removes a thin uniform surface layer to produce a bright, smooth, particle-free finish with reduced roughness — a common choice for medical, laboratory and clean-service titanium components.

Mechanical polishing

Progressive abrasive and buffing steps move machined titanium from a machined finish through satin to a mirror polish, used for decorative parts, sealing surfaces and components that must resist adhesion or buildup.

Bead & sand blasting

Fine glass-bead or ceramic media create a uniform matte or frosted gray surface that hides tool marks and gives every piece in a batch of CNC machined titanium parts the same consistent appearance.

Brushing & satin finishing

Directional abrasive belts produce controlled linear satin textures on titanium plates, panels, consumer product parts and bicycle components, with defined grain direction and roughness range.

PVD & thin-film coatings

Physical vapor deposition adds a very thin, hard decorative or functional film in black, gunmetal or gold tones over machined titanium without meaningfully changing finished dimensions, suited to premium consumer and wear parts.

Laser marking & other finishes

Permanent part numbers, lot codes and logos are applied by depth-controlled laser marking or engraving. Vibratory tumbling, barrel finishing, thermal oxidation and powder coating are also available as supporting secondary finishes.

Titanium stock forms machining starts from

Choosing the right input stock reduces waste, controls cost and protects mechanical properties. We machine the following titanium forms in grades 1–4, grade 5 / TC4, ELI, grade 9 and specialty alloys.

Round bar

The most common input for CNC turning and Swiss-type work — shafts, pins, fasteners, fittings and bushings — in drawn, peeled or centerless-ground condition.

Plate & flat bar

Used for milled brackets, mounting plates, housings and structural details, with thickness selected to leave clean-up stock on all machined faces.

Seamless & welded tube

Grade 2 and grade 9 / TA18 tube is the efficient starting point for thin-wall bushings, ferrules, sleeves and fluid connectors, removing far less material than solid bar.

Sheet & coil

Thin sheet feeds laser-cut or waterjet-cut blanks that are then edge-machined, and supports shims, covers and lightweight enclosure details.

Wire

Small-diameter titanium wire feeds Swiss-type lathes and secondary rolling for micro fasteners, tiny pins and precision custom machined titanium hardware.

Forged billet & custom forgings

Forged block or near-net-shape forgings provide aligned grain flow for heavily loaded grade 5 / TC4 aerospace-style and motorsport components before finish machining.

How a drawing or sample becomes a finished titanium part

The same sequence applies whether the input is a fully dimensioned drawing, a 3D model, or a worn physical sample that needs duplicating.

01

Drawing or sample review

Dimensions, tolerances, threads, surface callouts and grade requirements are reviewed; manufacturability feedback is provided before production starts, and samples are measured for reverse engineering when needed.

02

Material confirmation

The correct grade is matched across ASTM, AMS, GB/T, ISO, JIS or DIN designations, and the appropriate stock form — bar, plate, tube or forging — is prepared.

03

Programming & fixturing

Tool paths are programmed for titanium-specific cutting data, and workholding — including soft jaws, vacuum or custom fixtures — is designed to protect thin walls and tight tolerances.

04

CNC machining

Milling, turning, multi-axis machining and secondary operations such as drilling, tapping, broaching and grinding produce the CNC machined titanium parts to the print.

05

Deburring & surface finish

Edges are broken and burrs removed, followed by the specified treatment — anodizing, passivation, polishing, blasting, brushing, PVD or laser marking.

06

Inspection, cleaning & packing

Dimensions are verified by projector, micrometers, gauges and CMM; parts are cleaned, separated to avoid scratching, and packed for shipment with inspection records when required.
