Component

With the component of 3.0~4.0% Cu, 7.5~9.5% Si, A380 is Al-Si-Cu aluminum alloy.

Casting and machining process

A380 is suit for sand casting, die casting. and it is with easy machining property.
A356 is suit for permanent mold casting, sand casting, not suit for die casting, and it is not easy machined. However it is with good corrosion resistance and welding property.

Application

A380 is usually used as bracket, motor shell, furniture, tool parts, etc.
A356 is usually used as structure parts, such as pump parts, machinery case, belt pulley, etc.
